April 24, 2002 journal, cancer causing fried potatoes, United Way distribution, holy sin.

It is announced today that an ingredient in french fries and potato chips causes cancer.

Interpreted that means that all fried foods using hydrogenated oil such as Wesson Oil is likely to cause cancer and if not cancer some other potentially fatal disease as is obesity.

This is just one of many posion foods in today's diet that may cause fatal diseases in my opinion. The name of the ingredient is Acrylomide and it was reported on the national news. There is a misconception vegetable oil is healthy when in fact it is reportedly made by putting solvent on the vegetables to leach out the oil, the solvent is then distilled back out but it’s hard to get it out a hundred percent. The above is a new ingredient that is said to cause cancer. I suspect they are not telling us everything especially about how prolific. Even olive oil may be high-in acid and cooking with it may not be 100% safe. Bake your potatoes. Eat raw as much as possible is my opinion. Avoid all processed foods I say.

The United Way has decided how much of their $11 million plus collected here in town that they will give away and who they will give it to while the Red Cross is one favorite for big dollars. The Salvation Army received $628,776, the Phyllis Wheatley Association $568, 358.00, the Red Cross 479, 081. Compass of Carolina 391, 243. Meyer Center for Special Children, 324,351; YWCA, $321, 175.00, Alliance for Community Trust 302,000, 203, the YMCA with 292, 252.00; Boy Scouts of America, Blue Ridge council with 284, 242, and Senior action 274, 717. I do not see this as meeting the critical needs of people.

I realize we are not supposed to add up these figures but I did and it comes to under $4, million, there was nothing in the news article that said what they will do with the balance but I think that is understood that they will keep it for and spend it on themselves. This is never the less about the par for the course for all charities. Most of these some charities do question more and spend money in a way that it is perhaps not the most effective to help the poor. Most peoples policy is to do just enough to get by and distort the balance.

The modern church today is applied to human interest and misapplied of spiritual interest. The painting 'idolatry' names denominations even of the Protestant faith that are involved

in idolatry nearly as much as the worship of "Mother Mary" in the Catholic Church today.

There is no holy sin, there are those who call themselves holy but are not, there are many committing sin. Catholic Cardinals have completed their trip to Rome so the Pope could be seen shouting at them for the world press. Catholics are 23% of American religion 63 million here in all and 1 billion over the world. False religion is the greatest of all and it does not change the heart. True conversion changes the whole person to the Christian concept. Believe no lie, believe the true. Thank God for the beautiful sunrise this morning and for a beautiful sunset this evening. Look all around to see and feel God's great power of creation, to smell the fresh air carrying body oxygen to every part of the world so that man and animal can live. No one questions that God hung the sun in the sky to supply the universe with live to balance hot and cold. It never needs refueling or oiling, is there any doubt about God’s creation and mercy toward us all the days of your lives. Would anyone dare to doubt God's creation of eternal life for our souls if we believe and if we be saved.

There are many false doctrines being spread and forced in the world now, beware of them!
